Vlog: 24 Hours In Baltimore

Back in December, I took an early flight to Baltimore to speak with a very close group of men that evening at a fireside chat about money and purpose. Ideally, I would have flown out the day before to spend more time with my friend Kory, who invited me to the talk, but Roman had a basketball game I wouldn’t miss. So as you’ll see in the vlog, I hit the road around 3:30 to get to the airport.

As the year came to a close, I knew I wanted to start shooting more vlogs when the opportunity presented itself, and as I planned the trip, I could envision what a vlog might look like. The only obstacle was whether I’d let the discomfort of walking around the airport with a camera or of posting up somewhere to record some video keep me from getting the camera out of my bag—I’ve brought my camera with me many times, only to leave it in the camera bag.

Thankfully, I stepped out of my comfort zone.

As you’ll hear in the intro to the video, I made the conscious decision not to break my camera out during some quality one-on-one time with Kory because I wanted to be present with my friend. I wish I had. Actually, I wish I had someone with us who was videoing our drive from the airport, our walk through his community, and lunch with him and his partner Daniella—there were some amazing ideas shared and perspectives given that would have given me enough for a second vlog. I will have a videographer for future opportunities to be able to be present and not hold a camera.

Alright, that’s enough of an intro.
