the physical world’s lag

I just published episode number ten of The Five on the AlignedLife Podcast, and as I was finishing up the Substack post to share it there, I couldn’t help but look at the episode outline and feel proud.

I don’t usually talk my 💩 as I reserve that energy for highlighting and uplifting others, but today I felt like I needed to be a little boastful.

The Five is a show unlike any other I’ve seen.

And it’s damn good.

The video production isn’t where I want it to be yet—it’s probably best consumed via podcast right now, but I’m always going to pop the camera on to document because “why not?”.

My delivery is getting better, but writing and reading a script is not how I have historically operated in front of the camera, so I’m still getting used to it.

But the content—the articles, the studies, the underlying theme or question that flows through all five pillars is stellar.

Eventually, The Five will be a live-streamed show with timely graphics, video cutaways, guests, and maybe even co-hosts. In my mind, the show is already there, but it’ll take some time for the physical world to catch up.

And that’s the way it works with anything new you bring to the world.

Whether that be an idea, a product, a service, or even a version of your Self. You will see it first, you will live it first, and it will take time for the rest of the world to catch up—assuming you don’t give up because you aren’t receiving immediate validation.

We shouldn’t need the immediate validation—that’s not why we’re doing it. But we’re human, and it’s hard not to want to feel that the world appreciates you or your idea, and that the thing you believe in so much is needed.

Trust in your Authentic Life, and if it has guided you to where you find your Self, the world will eventually catch up. The alignment of whatever you are creating, or whoever you are becoming, is all the validation you really need.

I fully believe this.

While you wait for the world to catch up to you, check out the latest episode of The Five. I appreciate your help in helping the world catch up to me with this show!!
