you don’t always do what you want
Living your Authentic Life and being true to your Self does not mean you won’t choose to do things that aren’t necessarily aligned.
For example, your spouse may be into an activity that you aren’t–one that you would never choose to do on your own. However, because you are a supportive spouse and enjoy spending time with her, you choose to attend the activity.
Doing something you don’t like doesn’t mean you’re being inauthentic.
In fact, doing something you don’t like for your spouse is being authentic, assuming that being a loving and supportive partner is more important to you.
Living your Authentic Life is not about selfishness.
Living your Authentic Life is not about always getting your way.
Living your Authentic Life is about being true to your Self and your values.
And sometimes being true to your Self and your values will put you in places that seem misaligned, but the “why” behind your being there creates alignment with your Authentic Life.
See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,
JC
