Here is a short list of a few meditation apps that can help you build your practice:
Headspace. This was the first meditation app I used, and it is one of the most popular. I’m putting this one first because I think it’s a great app to start with, and they offer a student discount that makes the app $10 a year. If you can’t pay the $10 but want to try it, let me know, and I’ll send you the funds you need to subscribe!
Make sure you use this link to get to the student page.
If you’re not a student, you’ll want to use this link.
Calm. This is another popular app that I’ve tried in the past. I didn’t enjoy it as much as Headspace, but it’s still a great place for beginners and those who have been practicing for a while. Calm also has more than meditation—I only used the sleep sounds, so depending on what you are looking for, the additional options may make Calm the right choice for you.
10% with Dan Harris. I can’t speak to this app from experience, but I have read Dan Harris’s book, listened to his podcast, and listened to his appearances on other podcasts. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the app. The 10% app includes guided meditations, live meditations, ad-free episodes of his podcast, and more. One thing I really love and respect about what Dan is that he makes the app available for those who cannot afford to subscribe if they just reach out.

Open. This is the app I use my Self. This is the most expensive of all of the options, but it is more than a meditation app. It also has breathwork, yoga, and other movement classes. I think this is an app you can grow into and is more than what a teen or beginner needs, but I wanted to share what I am currently using.
Keep pursuing,
