do it because you want to

Today, I welcomed my youngest son, Silas, to join me for an episode of the AlignedLife podcast. I asked him to join me to talk about his creativity and to remind the adult listeners and viewers of the show that we were all like Silas at one point in our lives.

We all created.
We all created what we wanted.
We followed our interests.
We stopped doing what lost our interest.

Having Silas join me for a podcast episode probably won't land AlignedLife at the top of Apple Podcasts, but that’s okay with me—that wasn’t the goal.

I had Silas on because I wanted to.

I thought it would be a fun conversation to document.
I thought it would make him feel special.
I thought it would be something he’d remember.

I can’t wait to edit the episode this week and publish it on YouTube and all of the podcast players.
I can’t wait to make some Shorts for him to put on his YouTube channel.
I can’t wait to see his smile when we watch the episode on our TV.

Hopefully the world will enjoy the episode and take a little inspiration from Silas.

Regardless of how many people watch or listen, the episode is a massive success because it was what I wanted to do—and Silas had fun.

See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,

JC
