awe
This evening I went to The World of Hans Zimmer concert and found my Self sitting in my seat in awe numerous times.
At first, I was in awe of the talent of the various musicians and singers on stage–some of the best of the best from all over the world.
Then I was in awe, realizing I was hearing some of my favorite songs to listen to while working in person – feeling the vibrations of the instruments live hit a little differently than on digital or vinyl.
Finally, about three-fourths of the way through the show, I realized it was one man who orchestrated all of these fantastic songs with so many different instruments playing together–my mind could not (and still can’t) comprehend how someone can hear a song in their head and guide other people to bring it to reality—pure genius.
As I sat there in awe, I made a mental note to seek out more opportunities to experience that feeling more often throughout my days; moments of awe can show up outside of a concert venue in ordinary events if we allow our Selves to be present and see the beauty and intricacies of what we consider ordinary moments in our days.
Allowing our Selves to experience more awe brings us closer to a time when all we knew was awe and amazement…our childhood. And in our childhood, we were closer to our authentic Self than ever. If we can tap back into the innocence, mindset of possibility, and sense of Sel,f we might be able to get closer to our authentic Self.
If I’m wrong, we’ll at least have more enjoyable moments throughout our busy and routine weeks.
See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,
JC
