the cost of others’ opinions
“The most expensive thing you’ll ever buy is someone else’s opinion of what you should do with your life. It costs you your dreams, your potential, and your peace. The moment you stop paying that price is the moment your real life begins.”
-Samuel Ayobami
Money isn’t the only currency you spend.
I love this quote because it reminds us that there are things in life, like your dreams, potential, and peace, that a monetary value cannot be attributed to. If you could quantify their value, the dollar amount would be so high that no one would be able to afford to buy them from you.
Yet, we give away our most precious and valuable resources to others—often strangers who have no right to them.
It’s hard not to allow the opinions of others to influence how you live your life, but if you can discover your authentic life and align your spirit, mind, and body with it I have experienced and seen how it can give you the confidence to worry less about others and more about becoming the version of your Self that you were created to be.
Take back your dreams.
Take back your potential.
Take back your peace.
Take back your life.
Live your authentic life.
See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,
JC
