patience
"Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.”
-Jean-Jaques Rousseau
It’s easy to become impatient as you look forward to the future version of your Self and the life you are working towards.
The clearer you are, the harder it can be to remain patient.
The best way to remain patient is not to stop thinking about where you are going completely; it’s important to hold that vision, allow your future Self to evolve as your current Self does, and to know directionally where you are heading, but to spend as much time in the present as possible.
The future you are excited and anxious about will eventually arrive, and it is only a matter of a few present moments away.
When you are in the present moment, you can only be patient because there is nothing more to look forward to. There is nothing to be impatient about in the present moment because in the present moment, you have everything that you need.
It is only when you switch to living in the present moment that you become impatient.
Society loves cheat codes, and the present moment is the cheat code to reap the sweet fruit of patience and avoid its bitterness, which leads to the blossoming of the fruit.
See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,
JC
