R.E.N.E.E.
I’ve been working on the framework for the AlignedLife+ relationship at Santiago.
Communicating exactly what I do, how I work with clients, and why someone would choose to work with me hasn’t been easy. It’s not that I didn’t know what I was doing, just that I’ve found it difficult to explain this new relationship, which isn't what the public has come to expect from financial advisors. This has always been a “build it, and they will come” project—no one told me that they were looking for a financial advisor to help them focus on discovering the life they truly want to live, unpack and work through everything that might come up with this, and then align their financial resources with this new life.
I decided to build this because it’s what I wanted to do, and I know the impact it will have on those who trust me to serve as their guide.
But still, as excited as I have been about the work and as confident as I’ve been about this being the future of the profession, it’s been difficult for me to explain in a concise manner the why and the work.
This morning, just before my alarm went off, I caught my internal dialogue beautifully explaining the framework I’ve created—a framework that is rooted in George Kinder’s EVOKE process, blended with Breanna Rae Blaney’s Integrated Wealth Advisor curriculum, sprinkled with my own style and unique gifts.
While I know this isn’t the final version of the description of my framework, which I believe answers the why, how, and what of AlignedLife+, it’s a great start, especially since it was written with my internal voice while sleeping.
R.E.N.E.E. = Rediscover, Envision, Navigate, Embody, Evolve
Rediscover. At some point along the way, you lost connection with your Self. You started chasing a life presented to you by others—society, parents, and others. But now, you realize that life is no longer for you. You don’t seek more money, material possessions, or success. You believe there is more for you. You seek meaning, purpose, and impact, but you don’t know how to find it. You’ve wandered so far from your Authentic Self; it’s time to rediscover who you were created to be.
Envision. The version of your Self you desire and the life that accompanies it won’t be found in the external world. It resides within. It always has. It always will. And it will remain buried within, silently calling you until you begin to see the vision of what awaits you. The vision will always remain a vision until you believe in it—when you believe it, you will see it.
Navigate. The process of moving towards your Authentic Self is a journey full of obstacles that will require a plan uniquely and authentically yours. The North Star of your plan is a combination of your values, emotions, resources, and intuition that will guide you through, around, and over the obstacles standing between you and the Authentic version of your Self you were created to be.
Embody. A plan is worthless unless you actually begin to live it. The Authentic Life that resides within must be brought out for the world to experience. You must embody the Authentic version of your Self, being it before the world will reflect back your transformation. This is more important than just implementation; it is becoming.
Evolve. You might realize that living your Authentic Life is an evolution, not a destination, leaving you seeking guidance, support, collaboration, and accountability to continue evolving. This is not “coaching”. It’s more. It’s having a trusted guide walking alongside you, supporting you as you continue to allow your heart and intuition to lead your ongoing evolution.
If any of this speaks to you or evokes excitement, I’d love to learn more about what you thought and felt and see whether working together to discover your Authentic Self and Life might make sense.
If reading this made you think of someone else, please listen to your intuition and send them this post.
Keep pursuing,
